Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been facing a lot of troubles lately due to the controversy after Uri Attack surrounding Fawad Khan’s role in the movie. It is scheduled to release on October 28, 2016; however, the tensions for Karan Johar don’t seem to go away.
After a nation-wide protest against movie’s release, censor board’s decision to chop off at least intimate scenes between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (including the one that was shown in the trailer) came as a shocker for the producers. The only thing that seems to be working for Karan Johar at this moment is censor board’s clearance to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
The film has received a U/A certificate from CBFC, which means it’s fit for viewing by children if they’re accompanied by adults.
In a statement, Fox Star Studios and Dharma Productions said, “The movie has got UA certificate from the Censor Board and will release on October 28 – as scheduled.” Produced and directed by Karan Johar, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil features Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan in lead roles.
Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India Bans ADHM
Although, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has got UA certificate, the Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) has settled not to release the movie on single screens in Goa, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. The decision was taken to avoid any further controversy about Fawad’s role in the film.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will hit theaters on October 28 and face tough competition from Shivaay starring Ajay Devgan.
