  1. David Thewlis, who played Professor Lupin role in the film previously auditioned for the role of Professor Quirrell in Philosopher’s Stone
  2. Prisoner of Azkaban was the favorite Harry Potter books of Watson’s but hadn’t heard of Oldman before this film.
  3. It took Thewlis six hours to be transformed into a werewolf. The contact lenses he wore couldn’t let him see.
  4. One cold day, Radcliffe in New York spotted a girl standing outside his studio wearing only Harry Potter towel and holding up a sign that said, “Nothing comes between me and Harry Potter.”
  5. To show the Knight Bus appeared as zipping through traffic at an extremely high speed, the scenes were filmed with the bus driving at normal speed and the rest of the traffic driving at very slow speed like a snail. In the film, it was shown that the bus appears to be driving super-fast.
  6. Stanley and Ernie, these names were used for the conductor and driver of the bus in the film, they were actually 2 grandfathers of Author J.K Rowling.
  7. Josh Herdman as Gregory Goyle merely did a few scenes in the movie because he injured his arm. That is the reason he was unable to film some scenes.
  8. The name “Lumos”, is also the name of J.K Rowling’s charity for children. Lumos is a wand-lighting charm that featured in this film.
  9. Although the Dark Lord himself does not appear in the movie, there’s a moving painting of him in the lower right-hand corner of the screen below the painting of 3 women when Harry and his friends going upstairs to investigate the Fat Lady singing.
