Even before the release, Dangal movie got exorbitant hype due to Aamir’s incredible body transformation, and the first-week box office collection of Dangal has proved all that hype worthwhile. Dangal collected Rs. 29.78 Cr. on Friday, Rs. 34.82 Cr. on Saturday and a whopping Rs. 42.35 Cr. on Sunday. It’s the fifth instance when any of Aamir Khan’s movie has made it to Rs. 100 crore club. The other movies of Aamir Khan in 100 Cr. club include ‘Ghajini,’ ‘3 Idiots,’ ‘Dhoom 3,’ and ‘PK.’

Dangal To Become First 400 Crore Club Movie

Aamir Khan is known for shattering box office records and establishing new ones. Despite many controversies, his last movie (PK) became the first Bollywood release to enter Rs. 300 crore club (excluding overseas collections). And now the way Dangal has collected Rs. 106.95 crores in the first three days of release, box office collection experts believe that it will become the first movie to set-up a 400 crore club in Indian cinema.

Another thing that supports this claim is the fact that there is no big budget movie getting released for next couple of weeks. ‘Ok Jaanu’ will hit theaters on January 13, 2017, which means that Dangal has enough time to shatter all previous box office collection records without any competition. It will be great to see how Dangal movie revenue collection progresses in the coming days. All in all, we’ll keep you updated with the future updates regarding Dangal.

Dangal starring Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Sakshi Tanwar is based on the real life story of senior Olympics Coach Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta & Babita Phogat.
